John Calhoun

John Houston Calhoun, 53 of Happy passed away February 17, 2018. Services will be at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at United Methodist Church in Happy with Rev. Tom Stribling officiating.  Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors. John was born May 6, 1964 in Lubbock to Guy Eugene Calhoun Sr. and Jubie May Lee. He married Lisa Sue Mathews on July 30, 2003 in Mesa, AZ.  He worked as a Water Systems Operator on Ft. McDowell Indian Reservation in Arizona for over 20 years. He was a classic car enthusiast. He is preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother and wife; brothers Guy Eugene Calhoun Jr. and wife Shirley of Happy, David Calhoun of Happy, Cory Calhoun and wife Debbie of Woodward, OK, Steve Calhoun of Happy, and Kenneth Calhoun of Mesa, AZ; sister Christy Melendrez and husband Rudy of Tulia; son Christopher Calhoun and wife Yvette of Ft. McDowell, AZ; daughters Samantha Calhoun and husband Eric Larned of Glendale, AZ; Daphne Calhoun of Ft. McDowell, AZ, and Crystal Mathews of Phoenix, AZ; and 20 grandchildren.
