John Anstey

Memorial Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, July 17, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Happy with Leland Harris officiating. John Anstey was born on April 9, 1952 in Chelsea, Massachusetts to Moe and Estelle Anstey. He graduated in June, 1970 from Las Altos High School in Hacienda Heights, CA. He married Monica Anstey on June 30th, 1978. John dedicated the majority of his career to the service of various communities in West Texas. Following his career as a law enforcement officer, he worked with the department of corrections until his retirement from law enforcement altogether due to health problems. Upon retirement, he dedicated the remaining years of his life to his family, namely the love of his life, and working on the homestead tending to their dogs and horses. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Marcie Eazor. Survivors include his wife, Monica; his children, Joe and Hilary Anstey, Matt and Michelle Anstey, and Travis and Adrea Anstey; nine grandchildren, Nick Nelson, Sean Anstey, Connor Anstey, Jonas Lalonde, Mikah Anstey, Hank Anstey, Mindi Mitchell, Sam Anstey, and Kyla Anstey; and his siblings, Dana Anstey, Donna Mead, Caroll Anstey, and Rob Anstey.
