Joann Reynolds

Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 27 at Dreamland Cemetery with Mike Kuhlman, officiating. Joann was born to Sallie Bennett Cooley and Webb B. Cooley Sr., October 2, 1928 in Jasper, Texas. The family moved to Dallas in 1933. She graduated from North Dallas High School in 1946 where she was a two year member of the Women's Tennis Team. She received a BS Degree in Physical and Health Education from the University of Texas in Austin. After graduation she moved to Canyon, where she taught five years at West Texas A&M University and received a Masters degree. She later taught in the Amarillo Independent School District for fifteen years. She lived in Amarillo for twenty one years before moving to live near her children in 2002. While living in Amarillo, she was a hospice volunteer for twenty years. She is survived by a daughter, Terry Reynolds Geer and son-in-law, Perry Geer, of Granbury; granddaughter, Cierra Geer, of Fort Worth; son, Gary and daughter-in-law, Tammy Reynolds, of Brock; and granddaughter, Kalena. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorials to be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 415 W. Eighth St., Ste. 300, Amarillo, TX 79101.
