Joann Goad

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon with Pastor Randy Srader, pastor of God of Wonders Church of Amarillo, officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, December 19, 2008 at Brooks Chapel. JoAnn Goad was born on February 18,1941 in Lubbock, Texas to Ellie and Betty Weir Brock. She graduated from Lubbock High School and worked for Levi Straus for several years before retiring from Crouse Hinds. She was involved as a volunteer in the Canyon Hospital Auxiliary and she participated in the Canyon Quilting Club. She was a member of Southwest Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Roy Harold Goad, of Canyon; two daughters, Tonya Bravo and husband, Victor, of Canyon, and LaDonna Herring and husband, Gary, of Amarillo; she also enjoyed her 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
