Jo Nell Money

Jo Nell Money, 83, of Canyon, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020. Graveside services will be at 5:30 P.M. on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Dreamland Cemetery with Trent Tanaro, Spiritual Care, BSA Hospice of the Southwest, officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, prior to the service, from 3:30 to 5:00 P.M. at Country Home Weddings.

Born June 29, 1937, Jo Nell Jones became the one and only cherished child of Phil and Lucille Jones. She was born and raised in Okeene, Oklahoma. After her mother passed when Jo Nell was only 16, she and her father moved to Oklahoma City. She married the love of her life, Edel Money, just after her 18th birthday on July 24, 1955. They lived in Boulder, Colorado for a short time before moving to Canyon, Texas to help with the family farm.

Jo Nell was a medical transcriptionist until their first child was born. She was very musical and filled the church with her beautiful voice and piano playing, talents she passed down to her children.

Jo Nell was always there for her children and was determined to raise them to believe in God and be honest hard-working folks. She devoted her life to her children, her home, and her husband.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Edel Money; daughter, Tammy Money-Brooks and husband Dennis; sons, Tom Money and wife Francie, and Tim Money and wife Pam; Grandchildren Timothy and wife Kayla, McCall, Trey "Tiger", Madison, Tucker, Candace and Lindsey along with Great Grandchildren.
