Jimmy Pearson

Memorial services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Brooks Chapel, with Randall Ator officiating. Jimmy Dale Pearson was born in Swisher County on September 10, 1941 to Evelyn and Artie Pearson. He graduated from Happy High School in 1960 and married Joyce Chadd Peier in 1967. He received his Bachelors at Texas Tech University and his Masters and Ph.D. from Texas A&M in 1973. He worked as an agronomist for Taylor Evans Seed Company in Danville, Kentucky, Gahanna, Ohio and Tulia, Texas for 23 years. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Pearson; daughters, Nancy Story, and husband Jeff, and Stacy Wright, and husband Joel; six grandchildren, Elliot, John and Rebecca Story and Macy, Matthew and Mallory Wright; and three sisters, Mary Wade, Elsie Stout, and husband Joe, and Barbara Reece, and husband Ted. The family suggests memorials be sent to the Parkinsons Support Group of Amarillo, 2211 Peach Tree St., Amarillo, Texas 79109.
