Jimmy Janssen, 65, of Ochlocknee, Georgia, formerly of Canyon, Texas, died Thursday, February 27, 2003 in Ochlocknee. Services will be 2:00 PM Monday March 3, 2003 at Brooks Chapel with Rev. Phu Phan pastor of St. Ann's Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Janssen was born April 11, 1937 in Albuquerque, NM to W.P. Janssen and Olive Gerkin. He attended High School in Santa Fe, NM. He was a veteran of the US Army and after returning home from the army he farmed around Canyon and Umbarger for many years. He moved to Florida then to Georgia around 1982. He was preceded in death by one son, Pat Janssen in 1986 and his first wife, Mary Ann Janssen in 2000. Survivors include one daughter, Jo Ann Janssen, of Amarillo; two sons, Bobby Janssen, of Vega, and Chuck Janssen, of Amarillo; one sister, Mary Hersley, of Oregon; seven grandchildren, Jason, Brad, Kyla, James, Brittney, Jennifer and Christopher Janssen; and one great grandson, Austin Janssen.
