Jennifer "Gigi" Nava, 57, of Canyon, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025. Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Brooks Chapel with Chaplain Erick Kirby, BSA-Spiritual Care, officiating.
Jennifer was born on March 21, 1967 in Lubbock to John and Elodia (Romero) Nava. She worked for the Canyon ISD Transportation Department as the Special Education Coordinator and previously the Dispatch Coordinator for over 18 years. She also owned At Your Service cleaning business since she was 18 years old.
While in school, her faithful pet, Whiskey, would wait for her at the bus stop every day and walk her home. She was always the life of the party and loved all genres of music. She also enjoyed spending time and going shopping with her Grandma Stella. She loved all things fashion, pop culture, and sports, particularly Dale Earnhart, Jr. and the Baltimore Ravens. She also enjoyed crocheting and loved it when her Daddy brought her a Chico-Stick every day after work.
Jennifer is preceded in death by her father, John Nava, her grandmother, Stella Berrientez, grandfathers, Pedro Nava, Bennie Barrientez, and Joe Romero, Sr.
Survivors include her mother, Gloria Nava; goddaughter, Marissa Cardenas; loving niece, Justus Nava; sisters, Sandra Sandoval and Debbie Hernandez; brothers, Mike Nava and Chad Nava and wife, Luz; loving nieces Megan Gonzalez and husband, Enrique, Rubi Venzor, Margarita Hernandez, Sara Shipman and husband, Chad, and Noelly and Joselyn Nava; and great nephews, Diego Venzor, Matthew Cardenas, Gencio Cain, and Elian John Cardenas.
