Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Canyon with Rev. Rick Enns officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Brooks Chapel. Private Burial Dreamland Cemetery Jaxine ""Jackie"" May was born on November 18, 1933 in Bentonville, AR to Dave and Dorris Sherman. She married Bill May on March 19, 1954 in Centerton, AR. They moved to Texas in 1957 and have resided in Canyon since 1960. She worked at Advanced Eye Care, retiring in 1991, and she and Bill loved RVing for 21 years. Survivors include her husband of 59 1/2 years, Bill May, of the home; brother, Buddy Sherman, of Pea Ridge, AR; children, David May, of Floresville, TX, Brent May, of Midland, TX, and Sherma Oliver, of Castle Rock, CO; grandchildren, Dani Prater, of Garland, TX, Zachary Golden, of New Orleans, LA, Nicholas Oliver, USN, Groton, CT, Ryan Oliver, of Castle Rock, CO; great grandchild, Sydni Prater, of Garland, TX; sister-in-heart, Margaret Boyce, of Canyon, TX; and child-in-heart, Nancy Boyce, of Amarillo, TX.
