James Geren

Services will be 2:30 P.M. Thursday, August 18 at Canyon Hills Church of Christ with Steve McLean and Bryan Christmas, officiating. Military Honors provided by Volleys for Veterans. Burial will be at Park Grove Cemetery in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. James was born September 25, 1948 in Pampa to Lonnie and Dessie Ford Geren. He served two years in the Air Force and two years in the Army National Guard. James was a member of The American Legion, serving as the sergeant of arms in Amarillo for ten years. He was also a member of Canyon Hills Church of Christ. He loved to fish and was highly regarded in his neighborhood. Survivors include his uncle, Lemuel Ford; three aunts, Darlene Brumley, Una Ford, Eleanor Ford; and a host of cousins. The family suggests memorials to The American Legion, Post 54, PO Box 404, Amarillo, TX 79105.
