James Boyce

Memorial Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Brooks Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, July 19, 2013 at Brooks Chapel. James Boyce was born on November 4, 1952 in Canyon to James Lafayette and Margarett Cole Boyce, Sr. He graduated from Canyon High School and was a member of First Baptist Church of Canyon. Since his retirement, James has spent the last several years caring for his mother. He is preceded in death by his father, and grandparents, Mary Elizabeth and Roy Boyce, Eudna Cole Murdock, and Ira Cole. Survivors include his mother, Margarett Boyce, of Canyon; sister, Nancy Boyce, of Amarillo; sister-in-heart, Sheri Walling Davis, of Pflugerville; three uncles, Jerry and Gerald Murdock, both of Vidor, and John Murdock, of Lubbock; and two aunts, Carol Little, of Nederland, and Net Eliott, of Houston. The family suggests memorials be to Meals on Wheels, 2616 13th Avenue, Canyon, TX 79015, or a favorite charity.
