Irma Garcia

Irma Garcia, 45, of Happy, died Monday, August 5, 2002. Services will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 8, 2002 at the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Happy with Msgr. Stortz officiating. Rosary will be at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 7th, at Brooks Chapel. Burial will be in Happy Cemetery. Irma was born on February 24, 1957 in Sinton, Texas to Guadalupe and Josephine Gutierrez Garcia, Sr. She graduated from Happy High School in 1977 and attended Amarillo College. She was a member of the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church of Happy. She was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine Garcia, in 1993. Survivors include two daughters, Cherre Tijerina, and Lacy Cruz, both of Happy; two brothers, Lupe H. Garcia, Jr., of Lubbock, and Ruben Garcia, of Amarillo; her father, Lupe H. Garcia, Sr., of Happy; and two grandchildren, Desiree and Cruzsifico Tijerina. The family suggests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony?s Hospice PO Box 950 Amarillo, TX 79176.
