Hope Harris

Hope A. Harris, 80, of Canyon, died Saturday, April 5, 2003 in Canyon. Services will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 7, 2003 at Memorial Garden Mausoleum with Deacon August Hesse III officiating. Hope Harris was born in Woodward County, Oklahoma on January 4, 1923 to S.L. and Laura Brewer. She attended Richmond High School in Woodward. She married William P. Harris in Oklahoma in 1940. He preceded her in death in 1992. They farmed in Oklahoma and lived in various places before moving to Canyon in 1992. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. Survivors include one daughter, Marjorie McCarty, of Canyon; two sons, Charles Harris, of McLean, and Jimmy Harris, of Amarillo; one brother, Jess Brewer, of Bushland; nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
