Herman Mccarley

Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at the University Church of Christ with David Lough and Cameron Reeves officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Herman "Mac" McCarley was born on January 4, 1929 in Dennison, Texas to Hosie and Bernice McCarley. He married Vera Smith in Amarillo in 1946 and was a member of University Church of Christ. He loved to work with his hands, painting and building furniture, gardening, and western art and movies. He also loved spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Vera McCarley, of the home; a son, Danny McCarley and wife, Linda, of Pampa; two daughters, Terry Rutar and husband, Roger, and Bellinda Koch, all of Amarillo; a sister, Joann Miller and husband, Paul, of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Jennifer Reeves and husband, Cameron, Jason McCarley, Brittany Hollis and husband, Jeremy, and Ashley Mills; and five great grandchildren.
