Henry Montgomery

Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Brooks Chapel. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery, Canyon, Texas. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, August 16, 2013 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon. Henry Montgomery was born on February 27, 1952 in Gainesville, Florida to Henry and Mable Montgomery. He passed on to Glory on August 9, 2013. He attended Lincoln High School in Florida until closing and later graduated from Gainesville High School. He also attended Santa Fe College in Gainesville. Henry married Della Franklin on September 4, 1981 in Bronson, Florida. He was employed by Amarillo Independent School District. He loved the University of Florida Gators and enjoyed fishing. Henry was preceded in death by his father. He leaves to cherish his loving wife of 32 years, Della Montgomery; his children, Jamal and wife Stephanie, Tonia and husband, Robert, Henry, Toneshia and husband, Travis, and Garrett and wife, Vecky; his mother, Mable Montgomery; sisters, Mattie Walker, Mary Strauder and husband, Robert, and Georgia Blake; brother, George Jones and wife, Barbara; 23 grandchildren; a special friend and co-worker, Jim Lawson, along with other co-workers; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
