The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 9 at Brooks Chapel. Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 10 at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Canyon with Rev. John Elser, officiating. Henrietta was born on October 24, 1938 to Henry and Anna Janhsen in Rural Randall county. She grew up on a farm in Wildorado and attended Wildorado School and graduated from Vega High. She also attended Concordia College in Austin. She taught school at St. Pauls Lutheran School in Wichita Falls as well as teaching for 25 years at Trinity Lutheran School in Amarillo. She married James W. Doss in 1971 in Amarillo. She also worked at Region XVI Service Center. Henrietta was a member of Partners in Palo Duro for 15 years. She was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church. Her favorite things to do were to hike and bike in the Canyon and to take pictures of Palo Duro. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a step-son, Gene. Survivors include her sisters, Carol Frye, of Amarillo, Margie Moore, of Wildorado, Mary Kalbas, of Farwell, and Elizabeth Hargrave and husband Rex, of Tyler; brothers, Henry Janhsen, of Amarillo, John Janhsen, of Amarillo, and Tim Janhsen and wife, Tywana of Arlington; step-son, James Doss, Jr., of Austin; and many nieces and nephews.
