Haskell Moore

There will be a visitation at Brooks Chapel in Canyon on Tuesday, August 16, 2005 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, August 19, 2005 at Seaside Chapel in Corpus Christi. There will also be a visitation in Corpus Christi on Thursday, August 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Seaside Chapel. Burial will be in Seaside Memorial Park Cemetery, Corpus Christi, TX. Haskell Moore was born on December 18, 1911 in Milam County, Texas to Elisha and Texas Ward Moore. He was a member of Norton Street Church of Christ in Corpus Christi and moved to Canyon in 1995 where he became a member of University Church of Christ. He was a godly man and his churchwork and family were his priorities. His family and friends looked to him for advice and wisdom, and he will be remembered for his great story- telling. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Florence Turner Moore, in 1997. Survivors include two daughters, Beverly Farris, and husband, Jim, of Canyon, and Carole Vorgity, and husband, Emil, of Memphis, TN; nine grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
