Harold Zachry

Harold Blake Zachry, 77, of Hobbs, New Mexico, died Sunday, December 8, 2002 in Hobbs, New Mexico. Memorial Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002 at Brooks Chapel. Private interment. Harold Blake Zachry was born on December 2, 1925 at Happy, Texas to Eugene and Jane Trusty Zachry. He farmed at the community of Wayside and owned Mobile & Exxon gas stations in Canyon at the intersection of 4th Ave. and 23rd St. He was then a mechanic at the old Ford dealership on the square in Canyon and also worked for the Case Impliment dealer in Happy. He last worked for the Gardner Family at their farm in Vigo Park. He was a member of the Canyon Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Canyon. He was preceded in death by his ex-wife, May Montgomery Zachry, and infant child, Sherri Lynn Zachry, eight siblings, Ruby Zachry Davis, Ruth Zachry, Jessie Zachry, Dorothy Zachry, Eugene Zachry, Dellas Zachry, Mary Zachry Cayton, and Ema Gene Zachry Cobb, and one nephew, Robert
