Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Rick Enns, pastor, officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church parlor. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Guy Crenshaw was born on August 29, 1964 in El Paso, Texas to David "Buddy" and Ruth Morris Crenshaw. He graduated from Eastwood High School in El Paso and from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX. He married Debbie Oldham on June 24, 1995 in Amarillo. He has coached for 25 years and celebrated his 300th win last season. He has been a coach at Hanks and Bel Air High School in El Paso, Amarillo High, Caprock, and most recently, Canyon High School. He loved God, his family, and basketball. He was preceded in death by his father, David "Buddy" Crenshaw. Survivors include his wife, Debbie Crenshaw; four children, Kayce and husband, Alex, Ty, Wesley, and Emma; grandchild, Jordan; his mother, Ruth Anne Crenshaw; three brothers, David Crenshaw and wife, Nancy, Jim Crenshaw and wife, JoAnne, and Tim Crenshaw and wife, Kelly; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to the Guy Crenshaw Memorial Scholarship in recognition of Coach Crenshaw's commitment to students.
