Grace Boyd

Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 6, 2005 at St. Ann"s Catholic Church of Canyon, with Rev. John Dalton, pastor of St. Francis Catholic Church of Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Grace Beckman Boyd was born on January 24, 1912 in Umbarger, Texas to Joseph and Sophrona Eichost Beckman. She graduated from Umbarger High School and St. Mary"s Academy in Amarillo. She married James E. Boyd, Sr. at Canyon in 1928. He preceded her in death in 1993. She was a member of St. Ann"s Catholic Church in Canyon. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Grace Boyd Justin, in 1994. Survivors include three daughters, Elvira Boyd Evans, of Katy, TX, Frances Boyd Yows, of Aurora, CO, and Jimi Boyd Funk, of Canyon; one son, James Boyd, Jr., of Malone, TX; eighteen grandchildren, and several great and great, great grandchildren.
