Gloria Crump

Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 5, 2005 at the First Baptist Church with Dr. David Lowrie, Jr., pastor, and Bob Schickedanz, associate pastor of Glenview Baptist Church of Ft. Worth, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Gloria Crump was born on September 11, 1926 in Swisher County to Lawrence and Iris Hollabaugh Avent. She was a longtime community volunteer serving the Canyon Senior Citizens, Chamber of Commerce, Canyon Florist and Bridal, Panhandle Plains Historical Museum, and Canyon Cares. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Crump, in August of 1973. Gloria was a member of First Baptist Church of Canyon and was loved by everyone she met. Survivors include her daughter, Ginger Crump, of Canyon; one brother, David Gazzaway, of Amarillo; and two sisters, Shirley Lepper, of Jefferson City, MO, and Linda Schickedanz, of Weatherford, TX. The family suggests memorials be to the American Cancer Society, 3915 Bell St., Amarillo, Texas 79109, or to Baptist St. Anthony"s Hospice, PO Box 950, Amarillo, Texas 79176.
