Memorial services will be at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Cross Pointe Church in Amarillo, 45th and Washington, with Sheldon DeVries officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, December 3, 2012 at Brooks Chapel. Viewing will be available from 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, December 3, 2012. Gloria was born in Eddyville, IL, on February 7, 1936 to Paul and Missouri Morse. She has spent the last 20 years living in and around the Canyon area. She enjoyed reading, travel, and spending time with friends, family and especially her grandkids. She was preceded in death by both parents, Paul and Missouri Morse, and husband, Paul Benavidez, Jr., sister, Ruth Hager, and brother, Bill Morse. Survivors include daughter, Cynthia A. and Fred Minier, of Canyon; son, John P. Griswold, of Canyon; grandchildren, Meagann and Blake Cartwright, of Camp Pendelton, CA, Kimberly Minier and Rachel Minier, of Canyon; great granchildren, Aerilynn Ferris-Minier and Cason Cartwright; sisters, Paula Pike, of Aurora, IL, Kathy Crowell, Marion, IL, and Gayle West, Cypress, IL; and brothers, Jack Morse, of Metropolis, IL and Dayle Morse, of Simpson, IL.
