George Fetter

George "Bill" Fetter, 82, of Canyon, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2019. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 29, 2019 at Brooks Chapel from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors. George was born on November 9, 1936 in Binghamton, New York to George William and Nellie Caulkins Fetter. He married Lupe Minjarez on November 25, 1965 in El Paso, Texas. He spent 30 years working for Celanese Chemical. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.  He was a skilled photographer. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Fetter and a nephew, Benjamin Fetter. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Lupe; two children, Mary K. Fetter and Billy Fetter; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials be made to the Amarillo-Panhandle Humane Society, 3501 S. Osage St., Amarillo, TX 79118.
