Geneva Mcneill

Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at the University Church of Christ with Bob Shepard, Elder and Bible Chair Director, and David Lough, minister, officiating. Burial will follow at Dreamland Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 7 at Brooks Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Geneva McNeill was born on August 18, 1916 at Avoca, Texas to Lewis and Maude Caple Broom. She married Wayne McNeill at Quanah on September 22, 1940 and has been a resident of Armstrong County since then. She was a seamstress and loved quilting and gardening. She was a member of the University Church of Christ. Geneva"s family and grandchildren were her world. She left a lasting legacy that will be fondly remembered for generations. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Camille Rhodes, in 2005, and a son, John McNeill, in 2004. Survivors include her husband, Wayne of the home; two daughters, Countess Hodges of Bentonville, AR, and Ann Lee Collier of Happy; sister, Myrtis Cattaeno of Canyon; eight grandchildren, Robert Rhodes, Cheri Aab, Mary Jon Huffhines, Kay McNeill, Scott McNeill, Matt Collier, Kirk Collier, and Kathy Matherly; and eighteen great grandchildren.
