Gaylord Stroup

Services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 27, 2003 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon, Texas with Rev. Nathan Bond officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Mr. Stroup was born on October 24, 1944 in Canyon, Texas to Bryant and Audrey Vandergriff Stroup. He lost the battle with cancer and passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at his daughter"s home in Whitesboro, Texas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Canyon and was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Stroup, in 2000. Survivors include two daughters, Brandie Chambless, of Whitesboro, Krystel Stroup, of San Angelo; two brothers, Donnie Stroup, of Grand Junction, CO, and Curtiss Stroup, of Brady; three sisters, Melba Prichard, of Amarillo, Glenna Anderson, of Canyon, and Dorinda Powers of Houston; four grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials be to Grayson County Hospice, Whitesboro, Texas, or your local hospice.
