Gaylon Moore

Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, November 22, 2013 at Generation Next Worship Center in Amarillo with Pastor Tommy Fulgham officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Gaylon 'Patrick' Moore was born on June 30, 1974 in Amarillo to Johnny Dean Moore and Ella Mae Jones. He graduated from River Road High School and was a former manager for Hot Topic in Amarillo and most recently, in Ft. Worth. He was passionate about his children, his music, and was an avid Star Wars fan. He was a drummer for the band, 'Untimely End', and wrote drum music, some of which is still used at River Road High School. Patrick was also a poet and had a great sense of humor. He always had a smile on his face and made everyone laugh. He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Dean Moore and his grandmother, Helen Jones, in 2003. Survivors include his children, Hannah Grace Moore, 12, and Jules Patrick Moore, 6, and their mother, Amanda Moore, all of Ft. Worth; his mother and step-father, Ella Mae and Ken Whitley, of Amarillo; a sister, Crystal Evans and husband, David, of Amarillo; a brother, J.J. Moore and wife, Ginger, of Amarillo; half-brother, Leo Moore, of Houston; half-sister, Lea Moore, of Branson, MO; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to the Patrick Moore Memorial Fund, % Ella Whitley, at any Amarillo National Bank location.
