G. Nichols

G.W. Nichols ,70, of Happy passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018. Family directed services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Happy with Dr. Richard Shaw officiating.  G.W. was born on February 6, 1948 in Amarillo, Texas to Doyle Richard Nichols and Lula Vastine LeGrand. He was a truck driver and member of Cliffside Baptist Church in Amarillo. G.W. enjoyed spending time with his family and deeply loved his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, camping, joking and driving his truck. He also enjoyed spending time with close friends Susan Powell, Sheryl Smith, Cynthia and Jackie. G.W. was preceded in death by his parents, Doyle and Lula Nichols and daughter, Jarene Richards. Survivors include his daughter, Georgia Dondlinger and husband Mike; former wife Brenda McWhorter; grandchildren, Jenifer Preece, Zac Dondlinger, Faith Newcomb, Isaac Dondlinger, Guy Graves, Dylan Graves, Joshua Graves, Cheyenne Mahana, Hevan Richards and Nick Richards; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Happy Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 216, Happy, TX 79042.
