Faye Hendrickson

Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 27, 2005 at the First Baptist Church with Dr. David Lowrie, Jr., officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Faye Hendrickson was born on May 9, 1926 in Childress, Texas to Oran and Ola Mae Mitchell Crowell. They moved to Bovina and she graduated from Bovina High School in 1944. She then went to West Texas State Teachers College. She met Robert Bruce Hendrickson, and they dated for two years before marrying on July 6, 1947 in Canyon. They moved to Lubbock where she worked as Librarian at Texas Tech University. They moved back to Canyon and she began working at WTSU as Librarian in 1959. She retired in 1991. She was a member of Friends of the Library and First Baptist Church of Canyon. She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Robert Bruce Hendrickson, III. Survivors include one son, Larry Hendrickson, of Canyon; two sisters, Virgie Statt, of Tucumcari, NM, and Ina Cook, of Beaumont, TX; three grandchildren, Amber Hendrickson, of Amarillo, Shaun Hendrickson, of Canyon, and Jamie Hendrickson, of Amarillo; and two great grandchildren, Avery Brooke Foster, of Amarillo, and Aiden Robert Hendrickson, of Canyon. The family suggests memorials be to the Don & Sybil Harrington Cancer Foundation, 1500 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, Texas 79106.
