Fay Ward

Fay Ward, of Canyon, died Tuesday, August 12, in Canyon. Services will be at 2:00 on Thursday, August 14, 2003 at Brooks Chapel with Rev. Larry Richardson, pastor of Palisades Baptist Church of Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Fay Ward was born on November 23, 1942 in Canyon to Archie and Bessie Davis. She married Lawrence Ward on January 7, 1958 in Canyon. They lived in Hereford for twenty-five years before moving to Canyon. They owned Lawrence Ward Trucking, Inc. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She was a loving mother and an exceedingly devoted grandmother. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by friends and family. Survivors include her husband, Lawrence Ward, of Canyon; two daughters, Rita Ward, and Debbie Finch, and husband, Keith, of Canyon; one grandson, Dean Finch, of Canyon; three sisters, Juanita Davis, Winnie Caldwell, and Sue Riley, all of Canyon; and one brother, Archie Dean Davis, of Canyon.
