Evelyn Zehnpfennig

Services will be 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 6, 2006 at the First Baptist Church in Happy with Rev. Paul Burwash, officiating. Graveside service will follow at Happy Cemetery. Dee Zehnpfennig was born on February 26, 1928 to Ross and Beatrice Murray Myers in Lincoln, Nebraska. A twenty year resident of the town of Happy, she found joy in her Little House on the Prairie. She was a long-time supporter and devoted fan of local high school athletic programs and was a fixture at annual homecoming games. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken, in 1996. Survivors include, her two sons, Gerold Zehnpfennig of Washington State, and Greg Zehnpfennig of San Bernadino, CA; four daughters, Monica and her husband, John Anstey of Happy, Patty Bryant of Baytown, Cindy Erhart of Baldwin Park, CA, and Tami DeSpain of San Jose, CA; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Family requests memorials be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
