Eunice Raines

Eunice Raines, 97, of Canyon, died Monday, September 30, 2002 in Amarillo. Services will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 2, 2002 at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church with Wes Bourn, Retired Elder of the University Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Eunice Raines was born on December 15, 1904 to Charles L. and Mary Frizzell Phillips in Farmersville, Texas. She married Thomas Guy Raines in Farmersville on March 19, 1921. He preceded her in death in 1974. She moved to Canyon in 1974, after the death of her husband, from Ft. Worth. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Canyon and the Canyon Senior Citizens. Survivors include a niece, Linda Bourn, of Canyon, one hundred seventy-nine nieces and nephews, and four great, great, great, great nieces and nephews.
