Eugene Henry

Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Palo Duro Cowboy Church, 12200 W. US Hwy 60, with Tadd Mann, pastor, and Rod Elson officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary"s Catholic Cemetery, Umbarger, TX. Our cowboy, Eugene "Gene" David Henry was born on May 14, 1934 to Clyde and Nellie Henry, in Heaven"s rest on September 10, 2012. He served as a Brand Inspector for 25 years with the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association. For 40 years, he worked with the Amarillo Livestock Auction and also the Tulia Livestock Auction. He was preceded in death by his son, Ron Henry; grandson, Ben Henry; father, Clyde Henry; brothers, Earl and Doyle Henry; and sister, Shirley Henry Hyde. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Paxton-Henry; mother, Nellie Henry; children, Rick Henry, Robin Elson, Tammy Walls, Shane Paxton, and Tousha Paxton Barnes; sister, Edith Henry Goss; brothers, J.R. Henry and Kenneth Henry; 21 grandkids; and 16 great grandkids. The family suggests memorials be to the Cal Farley"s Boys Ranch, PO Box 1890, Amarillo, Texas 79174-0001 and Palo Duro Cowboy Church, PO Box 1330, Canyon, Texas 79015.
