Ethel Welch

Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 4, 2003 at Dreamland Cemetery, with Jay Carver, chaplain of the VA Hospital in Dallas, officiating. Mr. Welch was born on July 16, 1905 in Cooke County, Texas to Joseph and Sarah Bowman Carver. She attended WTSU and married Ray Hubert Welch on October 23, 1929. He preceded her in death in 1969. They moved back to Canyon in 1948 and then she moved to Lubbock in 1992. She currently resided in Springdale, Arkansas. She was a member of the University Church of Christ in Canyon. She was preceded in death by five brothers. She is survived by one daughter, Gayle Young, of Springdale, AR; three grandchildren, Jerry Young, Randy Young, and Lynda Sloneker; and seven great grandchildren.
