Born as Esther Rajeswari, affectionately known as "Raji" to family and friends in India, she entered this world on June 4th, 1960, in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India, to Mrs. Leelavathy and Mr. Thiruppathi. As the second child and only beloved daughter, she graduated high school in 1977 and embarked on a journey of education and service.

Esther pursued her passion for education, obtaining a bachelor's degree in chemistry (1980), Bachelor of Education (1982), Master's in chemistry (1995), and Master of Education (1996). Her illustrious career in teaching began in July 1990 at C.S.I. Girls Higher Secondary, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India, where she served for over 27 years, including a stint as interim Headmistress.

She had a great deal of love and concern and compassion for her students, and she treated them with that passion. Most of the students were the offspring of single parents, extremely low-income families, and other social problems. She frequently went above and beyond what was required of her to support her pupils, including speaking with their parents, covering their tuition, addressing their personal needs, and organizing supplementary weekend lessons to inspire them to focus on their studies. She constantly acts as though her students are her own. The affection from her students was evident, with many returning to express gratitude for her invaluable assistance during challenging times, and to share their subsequent successes.

On January 26, 1983, Esther Rajeswari and Subburaj married in Tamil Nadu, India. She had the utmost love and respect for her late husband Subburaj, and she used prayer to introduce him to Christ. Later, he accepted Christ as his personal savior and followed Christ until his final breath on March 21, 2008.

Esther's legacy as a devout prayer warrior continued through her life. She instilled these principles in her daughters, sons-in-law, and grandchildren, encouraging daily prayer, individual and family devotion. As a devoted daughter and loving wife, she took care of her parents and her husband until their last breath with full respect, love, and a lot of sacrifice. As a self-sacrificing mother, she nurtured her daughters and family into confident, self-assured adults. Her daughters achieved PhDs and became professors at West Texas A&M University, Canyon, TX. Esther's love extended beyond her immediate family, embracing her sons-in-law as her own and delighting her grandchildren with homemade delicacies. Her culinary skills were unmatched, and her family relished every meal, creating priceless memories. Her affection extended boundlessly towards her family, friends, and community, as she dedicated herself to providing them with the utmost care and support, prioritizing their well-being over any expectation of receiving any in return.

Preceded in death by her parents, Thiruppathi and Leelavathy, and her beloved husband, Subburaj, Esther is survived by her daughters, Anitha and Vinitha, sons-in-law Daniel and Raj, and four adoring granddaughters, Cheryl, Hannele, Richelle, and Aubrielle, all of Canyon, Texas. She is also survived by her brother Devadoss and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins in India.

The family is incredibly appreciative of the abundance of love, prayers, and support in so many heartfelt ways from too many people to mention them all but including the staff at the BSA Hospice of the Southwest and the Harrington Cancer Center for the care and compassion Esther received.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Esther Rajeswari Subburaj's name to the BSA Hospice of the Southwest, 5211 SW 9th Suite 100, Amarillo, Texas 79106 and Harrington Cancer Center, Attention Administration, 1751 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106.
