Mass will be said at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Amarillo with Rev. Scott Raef and Msg. Arturo Meza officiating. A Rosary will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at 7:00 P.M. at St. Thomas the Apostle with Deacon Terry Pevehouse officiating. Viewing will be from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery, Amarillo, Texas. Esperanza "Hope" Bustos was born on December 30, 1936 in Wimberley, Texas to Bilse and Herlinda Flores. She married Apolinar Bustos in July of 1952 in Corpus Christi, and they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year. She loved Spanish music and enjoyed sewing. Her greatest love was having her family around and cooking for them. She will be remembered for her strong faith, her sense of humor, and her down to earth approach to life. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was best at being a mother and grandmother. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Esperanza was preceded in death by a grandson, Jacinto Blanco. Survivors include her husband, Apolinar Bustos, of the home; five children, Julian Bustos, of Amarillo, Apolinar Bustos, Jr., of Mesquite, Alma York and husband, Sonny, of Amarillo, Martha Cantu and husband, Ricky, of Amarillo, and Ambrose Bustos and wife, Rosanna, of Amarillo; seventeen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and one great, great grandchild. The family suggests memorials be to the American Diabetes Association, 8008 Slide Rd. Suite 12A, Lubbock, TX 79424, or a favorite charity.
