Eric Casey Mccook

Eric Casey McCook passed from this life on November 19,2022. Eric was born to Wesley McCook and Jana Penny McCook on September 21, 1984, in Borger Texas. He lived most of his young life in the Canyon area, graduating from Canyon High school in 2004. He joined the United States Marine Corps at the age of 19. The life Eric loved most was working outdoors with horses, working on several ranches in the Texas New Mexico area. In 2021, he united with the love of his life, Taryn Watts. Taryn worked alongside Eric in ranching and provided selfless care and companionship during his illness.

Eric was preceded in death by his father, his stepfather, Randy Campbell, his Papa, Elmer Penny, a niece, Olivia Lopez, and an aunt, Stacy Penny Binnion. Survivors include his mother, Jana Penny Campbell; grandmother, Jean Penny; sister, Erin Lopez and husband Fernando; brothers, Jacob Campbell and Levi Campbell; nephew, Thomas Lopez; niece, Chelo Lopez; as well as great uncles and aunts, and many cousins. He also had several special lifelong friends that he considered part of his family.

A celebration of life will be held for Eric at a later date. The family asks for donations in his name be made to the Working Ranch Cowboys Association or Toys for Tots.
