Emma P Rodriguez, 61, of Canyon passed away August 25, 2020.
Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 28, 2020 at Living Water Christian Fellowship with Dorcas Vigil officiating. There will be a private burial at Dreamland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, August 27 at Brooks Chapel.
Emma was born in Floydada, TX on March 6, 1959 to Abel and Candida Perez. She worked in the ophthalmic field for 18 years and enjoyed reading and researching new information to gain knowledge in the profession. She also enjoyed spending as much time as she could stirring up trouble with her grandkids or planting flowers with them.
Our sweet, beautiful Emma has passed on to be with the Lord Jesus Christ. She was fiercely loved by her husband, daughter, grandchildren, mother, siblings and friends. A servant of the Lord she cherished her life and everyone in it. She was an amazing wife, mom, grandma (A.K.A. Yaya) and everything in between. She had a smile that would light up the room and an infectious laugh. We know that she will absolutely be missed on earth, but she has received her crown in heaven and is looking down as our guardian angel and laughing with her daddy.
She was preceded in death by her father, Abel. Survivors include her husband, Joe; mother, Candida; daughter, Monica Saldivar and husband Matt; grandchildren, Emily and Dominic Velasquez, and James and Mia Saldivar; siblings, Sylvia Huron and husband Jim, Carmel Snyder and husband Ray, Connie Snelson and husband Danny, Daniel Perez and wife Joanne, Abel Perez, Armando Perez and wife Sharron, Anita Perez-Dunn and husband Marc, Mike Perez, and Candy Perez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Adan Gonzalez with Fresenius Care of Amarillo for taking such good care of Emma for all these years.
