Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, August 17, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church of Canyon with Pastor Lyndal Waldrip, MORE church and Rev. Donna Johnston, Pastoral Care Minister, officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Brooks Chapel. Private Entombment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Elyse Danielle Tinsley was born on April 21, 1986 in Amarillo to Chris and Linda Plain Tinsley. She graduated from Canyon High School in 2004 and was a member of the 2002 Canyon Lady Eagles State Basketball team and National Championship team. She also ran track and loved playing volleyball at CHS. She was engaged to Bryce Banner. She worked as a phlebotomist at NWTH and had plans to attend cosmetology school. Elyse loved to have fun, could eat an entire red velvet cake alone, and adored spending time with her daughter, Addison. She was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Mary Jackson, Cornelius Kliewer, Jr. and Hessel and Evelyn Plain; her grandfathers, Ray Tinsley and Jim Plain, and her aunt, Kathy Tijerina. Survivors include her beautiful daughter, Addison; her parents, Chris Tinsley and Linda Tinsley; her brother, Cole Tinsley; her fiancé, Bryce Banner; two grandmothers, Shirley Plain and Erl Tinsley; five uncles, Michael Tinsley and family, David Tinsley and family, Kelly Tinsley and family, Patrick Tinsley, and Michael Henry Tijerina and family; and aunt, Brenda Havens and family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to the Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Center, 1500 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, Texas 79106, The Hope and Healing Place, 1721 S. Tyler, Amarillo, Texas 79102, or a favorite charity.
