Elmer Ronald 'Ron' Cogsdil, 82, of Canyon, passed away on Monday August 16, 2021.
Ron was born on June 4, 1939 in Portales, NM to Elmer Ray and Lois (Vinson) Cogsdil. He loved working with his hands and was always building things. He also enjoyed leatherworking and playing the guitar.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Calvin Ray Cogsdil and William Harold Lee Cogsdil. Survivors include his son, Nathan Cogsdil of Amarillo; daughter, Christina Cogsdil of Biloxi, MS; brother, James Clifton Cogsdil and wife, Patricia of Layton, Utah; and two sisters, Betty Taylor and husband, Dwight of North Columbia, SC, and Evy Culp of Maverick, TX.
