Ellen M. Livesay

Ellen M. Livesay, 68, was born June 2, 1957 in Canyon, Texas. She passed into the arms of Jesus August 8, 2025 in Amarillo, Texas. She was a passionate lover of art, music, architecture, food, and greyhounds. She deeply cared about justice for the marginalized and often quietly contributed to causes that worked with people in crisis. Ellen was preceded in death by her parents Edith Reynolds and Jack Livesay, stepfather Earl Reynolds, and brother Greg Livesay. Ellen is survived by her sister Eva Dee (Priddy) Lewis and husband Gerry of Amarillo and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. A memorial service for Ellen will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 23 at the chapel of Brooks Funeral Home in Canyon, Texas.
