Elizabeth Cranmer

Elizabeth Mary Cranmer, 92, of Canyon, died Saturday, May 24, 2003 in Amarillo. Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at St. Ann's Catholic Church of Canyon with Msgr. Joseph Tash, pastor of St. Thomas the Apostle Church of Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Mrs. Cranmer was born on October 2, 1910 at Electra, Texas to John and Mary Byerley Nepper. She married Elmer L. Cranmer in Amarillo on April 18, 1934. He preceded her in death in July of 1990. They farmed in St. Francis and Conway before moving to Canyon in 1948. In Canyon, they ran a dairy and farmed for numerous years. She also worked at Canyon Jr. High Cafeteria, where she retired. She was also preceded in death by one grandchild, Kenny Cranmer, in 2002 and twelve brothers and sisters. Survivors include four daughters, Leta Rolen, and husband, Larry, of Canyon, Peggy Ferguson, and husband, Jerry, of Canyon, Sharon McCarley, of Happy, and Dorothy Masten, of Canyon; two sons, Walter Cranmer, and wife, Janice, of Canyon, and Edgar Cranmer, and wife, Linda, of Canyon; fourteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren.
