Edward James Muller, 85, died Monday, October 23, 2017 in Canyon, Texas. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 25 at Brooks Chapel. Graveside services will be 11:30 A.M. Friday, November 10 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon. He was born on February 26, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri. On October 30, 1954, he married Patricia Ann Calvert. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean War. He was a hoisting engineer involved in building the interstate highway system in the 1960s, after that career he worked for the water department of the City of Florissant, and then finally drove a school bus for the Hazelwood Schools. He lived in Florissant, Missouri until July 2015 when he moved to Canyon to be near family. He could fix anything, build anything, and tell you how everything works. In his retirement, he began cutting out and painting wooden yard art… some of his specialties included pink flamingos, roosters, and small red cardinals. He was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed cheering on the Buffs and Lady Buffs after moving to Canyon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, in January of 2004, his parents, Edward Charles and Lilly Adolf Muller and his sister, Bette Rettke. Survivors include his two daughters, Terry Muller of Indianapolis, Indiana and Kim Muller of Canyon; two grandsons, Danny Storey of Lubbock and Jamie Storey and his wife Brandi of North Richland Hills; a great granddaughter, Zosia Storey of Lubbock; and a host of friends in St. Louis and at Palo Duro Village.
