Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Dreamland Cemetery with Rev. Terry Tamplen, First United Methodist Church of Odessa, officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Brooks Chapel. Edna Rhoads was born on April 28, 1924 in Omega, Oklahoma to Carl and Minnie Hall. She grew up in Friona and graduated from Friona High School. She married M.E. Rhoads in Canyon on September 21, 1967 and was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Canyon. Edna loved crocheting, gospel music and Lake City, Colorado and will be remembered for her wonderful cooking. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, two brothers, a daughter-in-law, Nancy Camp, and four sisters-in-law. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, M. E. Rhoads, of Canyon; her son, Louis Dean Camp, of Canyon; three granddaughters, Lisa Auston and husband, Mark, of Canyon, Susan Camp, of Denver, CO, and Donna Agee and husband, Todd, of Canyon; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and a nephew. The family suggests memorials be to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
