Edith Richardson

Memorial services will be at 11:30 A.M. on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Canyon, with Rev. Gene Jones, associate pastor, officiating. Private burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will be located at 1030 Santa Fe Trail in Canyon. Edith Leone (Lee) Richardson was born on February 12, 1920 in Kirkland, Texas to Wiley and Annie Macon Ford. She moved to Clarendon and then to Amarillo where she graduated from Amarillo High School in 1937. She married Roscoe Richardson in 1940. He preceded her in death in January of 1992. They had lived in the Canyon area since 1940. She was member of the First Baptist Church of Canyon. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. Survivors include three sons, Jerry Richardson, of Amarillo, Jody Richardson and wife, Susan, of Canyon, and Rick Richardson, of Canyon; ten grandchildren, Jeffrey Richardson and wife, Stephanie, of Colorado Springs, Toby Richardson and wife, Michelle, of Dallas, Amy Peteet and husband, Kyle, of Dallas, Lacy Richardson of Amarillo, Reid and Ryan Richardson, both of Canyon, Siara Richardson of Amarillo, Kevin Richardson and wife, Darcie, of Canadian, Kurt Richardson and wife, Jennifer, of Abilene, and Kris Richardson and wife, Brooke, of Canadian; and seventeen great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be made to Odyssey Hospice, 6900 I-40 W Suite 150 Amarillo, TX 79106 or to the First Baptist Church Library Fund, 1717 4th Ave. Canyon, TX 79015.
