Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Amarillo with Rev. Manish Shirley officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, August 14, 2017 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Dwight Lundy, age 67, of Canyon, Texas passed away on Friday, August 11, 2017. He was born April 5, 1950 in Amarillo, Texas and graduated from Caprock High School in 1968. He proudly served in the Marine Corps, driving a truck in Viet Nam, from September 1968 through July 1971, and received an Honorable Discharge. After returning to Amarillo, Dwight worked at Levi Sta-Prest Plant where he met and fell in love with Debby Putman. They married soon after, on June 8, 1973, and recently celebrated 44 years of marriage. Dwight graduated from TSTI with a two-year Associate's Degree in Electronics. Shortly after he began his career with Owens Corning. He retired in July 2016, after working on 'C' shift as a power and control specialist for almost 33 years; the last five years were spent as a maintenance planner and scheduler. Dwight was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Leroy Lundy and Gladys Hamby Lundy. The family would like to thank all the staff of BSA Emergency during Dwight's stay in ICU, and BSA Hospice of the Southwest. Everyone was so loving and caring to him and his wife. Survivors include his wife, Debby Lundy of the home.
