Dorsey Jean Lemer was born on May 21, 1944, in Clarendon, Texas to Raymond Earl Watson and Bonnie Delphena (Rowe) Watson and passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025. Dorsey was the oldest of seven children.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, February 16, 2026 at Brooks Chapel IN Canyon with George Hamontree officiating,
Dorsey lived in Winner, SD where she spent most of her years raising her children, working at Outlaw Grocery Store and Dairy Queen. In 1989, her dream came true and she opened the Country Garden Flower Shop.
She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and canning. She also had a great passion for baking. She was known for her banana bread, fudge and zucchini jelly. She always made plenty to share with friends and family.
Dorsey moved to Canyon, Texas in 2014. She worked at Walmart and spent a lot of time in her flower garden and making friends at the Canyon Senior Citizens Center. She passed away peacefully at Hillside Heights in Amarillo, Texas on November 14, 2025.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Mary Ellen Blando, daughter Barbra Blando, granddaughter Stephanie Blando, and her brother Jim Watson.
She is survived by her children; Daniel Blando of Tucson, Arizona, Benjamin (Sacey) Lemer of Canton, SD, Tracy (Sean) Kelly of Gregory, SD, and William Lemer of Gregory, SD; 14 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and two very special friends, Guy Hamblen and Wendy Wills of Canyon, Texas.
