Dorothy Wright

Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Brooks Chapel with Pastor Roman Asbill officiating. Burial will follow in Dreamland Cemetery. Dorothy Ann Wright was born on October 12, 1934 in Britton, Oklahoma to Oliver and Helen Benne Bradshaw. She married Deane Wright in Oklahoma City, OK in 1953, and he preceded her in death in 1999. Dorothy received her Master's in Education from West Texas State College and taught in Amarillo, Happy, and Canyon. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Canyon and Texas Retired Teachers Association. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Becky Noland. Survivors include a son, Randy Wright, of Mobeetie; two daughters, Rhonda Bainum, of Lubbock and Gina Wopperer, of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters; and one brother.
