Dorothy Franklin

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 22 at Brooks Chapel with Rev. Larry Richardson, minister of Palisades Fellowship Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be at Dreamland Cemetery. Dorothy Franklin was born March 15, 1938 in Monroe City, MO to Wallace and Glessie Shelton. On August 1, 1955, she married Darrell Franklin in Clovis, New Mexico. Dorothy worked part time at the Stockyards Café. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and going to garage sales. Dorothy was a member of Palisades Fellowship Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell in 2007. Survivors include her daughter, Carol Gann and husband, Jackie, of Sunnyvale, CA; sons, Wes Franklin, of Amarillo, Bill Franklin, of Amarillo; brothers and sisters, Nora Summers, of Canyon, Floyd Shelton and wife, Juquita, of Amarillo, Bud Shelton, of Amarillo, Shirley Young and husband, J.T., of Canyon Lake, TX, Bob Shelton and wife, Janie, of Ft. Worth, Linda Warren, of San Antonio, Reva Weatherly and husband, Bob, of Canyon Lake, TX; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family suggests that memorials be made to a favorite charity.
