Dorotha Woodman

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 8 at Brooks Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 9 at the First Baptist Church of Canyon. Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 9 at Rest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Hereford. Dorotha "Scotty" was born in Clovis, New Mexico on April 28, 1943 to C.C. and Lois Stewart. She married Jake Woodman in Glenwood Springs, Colorado on March 28, 1997. Scotty wore many many hats. She was known as Scooter, Mom, Sister, Aunt Scotty, Grannie, and friend. She loved people and invested her time in her family and friends. She was always there for anyone that needed a helping hand. She grew up in Dawn and graduated from Hereford High School in 1961. She attended college at Baylor University but graduated from the University of Michigan in 1972. She loved God and serving others. Survivors include her husband, Jake; daughter, Krista Thomson, of Devol, OK; brother, Buddie Stewart, of Stuttgart, Germany; granddaughters, River and Makayla Thomson, of Devol, OK, and Charitee Donlin, of Tulia; and two nieces, Kristina Stewart, of Stuttgart, Germany, and Katie DiStefano, of Lacey, Washington.
