Services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 27 at Brooks Chapel with Rev. Paul McQuerry, pastor of Happy First Baptist Church, officiating. Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 28 at Pleasant Mound Cemetery in Dallas under the direction of Suggs Funeral Home. Mrs. Davis was born February 8, 1927 in Honey Grove, Texas. She was a supervisor of an insurance company in Dallas for many years and moved to Canyon in 1992. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Mamie Cutrell Gee; husband, J. W. Davis; three sisters, Alpha Wade, Mineola Coile, and Leona Coile; and two brothers, Earl Gee and Charlie Gee. Survivors include her two step-children, Buford Davis, of Grand Saline, TX and Carolyn Wise, of Waco, Georgia; sister, Maggie Adams, of Houston; four nieces, Marilyn Johnson and husband, Clyde, of Happy, Mozelle Gwynne, of Amarillo, Phyllis Jones, of Amarillo, and Glenda Darnell, of Houston; and five nephews, Shelby Adams, of Houston, Autry Coile and wife, Joyce, of Borger, L. V. Coile and wife, Kathy, of Happy, Glen Adams and wife, Carol, of Houston, and Eddie Adams, of Houston.
